there are so many awful things happening in the world right now. and like i've said before, i try to pretend these bad things aren't happening because i like to see the good in the world. in my post for 9/11, i said:
"when i woke up that morning, i learned that there are bad people who do bad things to good, innocent people. and that's when i knew that this world wasn't the good, safe place i thought it was."
ever since i wrote those words, i've thought a lot on them. because this world isn't what we think it is when we're 8 years old. and i think that's why i avoid the news like the plague. because i want to believe that the world is what i thought it was when i was a small child.
and it can be. you just have to really look for it. which is sad, we shouldn't have to go digging for good things, they should be everywhere. so in case you are having a hard time finding the good, here are a few buzzfeed articles to help you out.
