Arizona

This weekend we made a (QUICK) trip down south to Arizona to witness the wedding of Brandon and Lexi Lou. While the drive was long and exhausting, and we had a few minor setbacks (we both forgot our temple recommends and I forgot to pack a bra) but the 24 hours we were not driving were rather enjoyable. Lex was a stunning bride and all the wedding festivities were wonderful, especially the whipped cream they had to dip fruit in. Yum.

Sister's Weekend+

As I'm sure you've seen all over my Facebook and Instagram, I went on a little weekend trip to Moab with all the women on my mom's side of the family.

A little background, in February 2002, my grandparents were doing some traveling in their motorhome. My Grandpa got sick and they went to the hospital only to discover that he had cancer. Within a half an hour of finding out, my mother and her 4 sisters were on their way to the hospital. They spent a lot of time together just as sisters. My Grandpa died of cancer on February 9, 2002 in Needles, Cal.

A few years later, my mom and her 4 sister and mom decided to go on a "Sister Trip" every year around the same to get that same sister time with my grandma.

This year, all the daughters of the 5 sisters were invited. All but 4 of us were there! We travelled from Northern Utah, New Mexico and Arizona to all be together and it was such a great and uplifting weekend.

yes, we're those people. the ones who get awesome matching shirts

of course we made a paper livi

thank you to my aunts, cousins, grandma and mother for such a fun and memorable weekend!

soaking it all in

today was my last sunday in san francisco. i can't fully wrap my head around it and every time someone or my brain tries to bring up the fact that i'm leaving i literally have to say  "stop, don't even talk about it". i've been soaking up every second of this city, we've crossed the city many times and back to check things off of our lists.

i'm also soaking up my time with this kiddies. my boss keeps apologizing that she's working me so much and i keep having to tell her i'd rather spend time with the kids than anything else. yesterday morning, me and 3yo were outside walking, it was very peaceful and quiet and he noticed and said, "mi, it's very quiet" and i said, "yeah buddy i know, it's kinda nice huh?" and he says "actually, it's really nice" it was the cutest thing. and it got me thinking, when i first got here, the only things he could say were mom, dad and ball. and now i can have a full conversation about how nice and peaceful the morning was. it's going to break my heart to leave that little boy. and the sassy little miss, and the smartest 9 year old i know. but especially that little one. he's seriously my best friend.

i know, i know "all mia ever talks about is how excited/ sad she is to leave and how much she's going to miss it" buuuuuut... it's kinda my life right now. to make up for my sappiness, here are a million more pictures from this weekend's exploring.

have a good week guys
