I Got Bangs (And Other Life Updates)

Hello all! I've had so many things happen lately (who hasn't?) and life just gets away from you, ya know? I started a new job at America First Credit Union and I am loving it! It is so great. Its a much better environment than my last job, I'm very happy there:) Bryan is out of school for the summer and does the majority of the housework and I come home everyday from school at 9:30 and tear up because he always does what I had been planning on doing that day whether it be dishes or laundry. I definitely got so lucky with him. He's the very, very best. 

I cut bangs! I swore I'd never do it again because I hate it every single time but I decided to not go as drastic this time and I'm loving the change. We had a celebration for my grandma for her 75th Birthday Party. She's the cutest.

Bryan and I got to go up to our beloved Star Valley, Wyoming over the 4th of July weekend. We went fishing, did some sketchy four wheeling trails and had delicious fresh raspberry shakes. It was nice to get away for a minute.

And in another minute, we are heading to California! I am so freaking excited I can't even tell you. It's been almost two years since I was there and every time I think about seeing my kiddos, I get like, giddy and want to cry because I'm so excited! The best part? The kids don't know I'm coming so I get to surprise them. I can't wait to show Bryan around the city that I came to love so very much.

I hope everyone else's lives are as happy and wonderful as mine:)

hello all.

this week i bought a car. my first car and i'm super excited.

there were super sad things that happened back home. rest in peace Miller and Jason.

bryan hit his 2 months left mark

i signed up for the wasatch back ragnar relay for this year (SO EXCITED)

bryan is also running

i really don't want to work this summer, i just want to go on adventures. but that probably won't happen.

you know how like, all 20-somethings go through a phase of wanting to travel? i didn't think i'd ever go through that phase but i think it's starting to hit

my best lazy buddy burlz got engaged tonight. CONGRATS KIMMIE!

i cry like, everyday because im leaving

the pretty little liars season finale made me super angry. I JUST WANT FREAKING ANSWERS!

my sister will never beat me in quiz up. never.

i wore my hair down and naturally curly today for the first time in a long time and i forgot how curly it was and when i saw and remembered, it made me really happy

we're silly and we know it

so while i was home, i met up with my 'roommates' (still haven't come up with a better name for that group of friends). we met in slc. carrie and tarah were unable to be there (c is on her mish in tennessee and t was in texas with her fam bam) so because we're weird and do weird things that other people would consider socially unacceptable we brought pictures of them on sticks (thank kim).

today we got an email of this. sister c with us in tennessee. 

i love these girls. 

it's been too long. so prepare for a lot of black and white pictures

before this christmas trip, the last time i was home was 6 months ago. that's the longest i've ever gone. so i've got lots of pictures to share.

i got to see my cousins that i haven't seen in a long, long time

i learned a family tradition and made Christmas Danish with my mother

i went to city creek/ temple square a lot of times

i met up with my best friends in the whole world

(^this is like, my fav pic eves. and yes, we brought pictures of carrie and tarah on sticks cause they were unable to be there^)

but mostly i just played with my family

then i came back to sf and for NYE we went to the bay bridge to watch the fireworks

things i learned in college

i've been not-a-student-but-still-a-student-age for about 8 months now (holy... that long?!) and i was just looking through my pictures from school and reminiscing and thought of all the important things i learned throughout my college career of one year:

-dancing is the answer to everything
-oth > sleep
-food > sleep
-2 am betos bike runs give you such a rush
-sweats are there to save your day
-roommate bonding is key
-so is reliability
-also, pinterest
-stacy's mom has got it going on
-hip hop classes make you act like a crazy/ drunk person
-werewolf and idiot will forever be my favorite games
-sledding on a mattress is dangerous and fun
-you will never understand how awkward 6 19-year old girls can be until you walk into their apartment and they all just stare at you without saying a single word
-playing hunger games > sleep
-hide and seek > sleep
-its possible to survive without a car. i somehow made it home almost every weekend... now that i think back to it, how on earth did i manage..?
-climb all the things
-you won't starve to death, there is ALWAYS an activity happening that will offer free food
-sisters before misters
-hoes before bros
-girlfriends before boyfriends (<-- came up with that one all on my own..................)
-someone just buy a plunger so you don't have to shamefully walk across the hall to borrow one
-setting up camp in your apt is just as good as outside
-late runs to the temple are the best. until a guy keeps walking past and you have to call someone to pick you up at 2 am
-anything > sleep

-i miss my best friends:(

home

ever since leaving home, i've really been okay. like, of course i miss my family, friends and just everything but i really haven't been super homesick. 

not so anymore. not really homesick, i just really REALLY want to be home right now. (is that what homesickness is..?) my birthday and thanksgiving, i was fine and dandy (maybe cause i was in paradise) but it just feels wrong to be away from my family for christmas. 

along with my family comes my roommates (i can still call them that right? i can't just call them friends, cause we're more than that. but i guess friend is better than roommate... i'll think of something better) . i was reading my journal tonight, (i like to go back from a year ago today kinda thing) and EVERYTHING is about either them or bryan. so my homesickness also goes to them.

so loved

so last night, the second i step into the house from f.h.e, i get a text from my dearest burlz telling me to get on google+ ASAP so i get on and who do i see? 3 of my best friends, none other than carrie, kim and tarah. it was so great to talk to them:)

then today, as i'm (not so) patiently waiting for a letter, i check the mail to find not only 1 letter but 6. and not from who i expected but from amazing my family. it seriously made my day.

this is old news to my roommates (because i can't stop telling them) but... i am missing them SO MUCH right now! i wish i could bring them all out to san francisco and share my new life with them and we can laugh and dance and pop each others zits just like the good old days.
