an update

and update on two things: 1) i plan to update and fix up my poor neglected little blog, as in details. the looks, my profile, pages etc... 2) my life. i feel like i'm finally getting settled in and into a routine.

i now work at plato's closet, i'm finally getting the hang of it so it's starting to be fun. (come visit me, we're having a HUGE 50% off sale) i like to be with bryan. he's my favorite. i crossfit (almost) everyday, it's really hard cause i'm so lazy and out of shape but it makes me feel good. especially when my trainer forces me do something i truly don't think i'll be able to do, and then i'm really mad at her but then i can actually do it. nothing feels better. like last night when she made me lift 55 lbs (that's a lot, k?) power snatch. i really hate snatch's. and i was so mad when she made me put more weight on. but i did it! moral of the story: you're stronger than you think you are.

 i like hanging out with my mom

 i lightened my hair (and I LOVE IT)

bryan is home and i still can't believe he was gone for two whole years.

 i tried my hand at theatrical make up for my sister's last morp

 we went to the most amazing campground for memorial weekend

 bryan and i went to the naked & famous concert

me and my mom were carnies at lagoon for two very long weeks

we had breakfast with one of bryan's mission buddies

 we went to wyoming to paint bryans cabin

 we got season passes to lagoon

 we went to the onerepublic/ american authors/ the script concert

i guess i just feel like writing

i really want to write something but i feel like i have nothing of worth to say. my life is very repetitive. i work all week and play on the weekends... when i'm not working.

i have 66 days left out here. and bryan has 93 days left out there.

my free time these days consists of online car shopping and watching the office

i really wish i liked to read like i used to. in high school, i would stay up for hours to finish just one more chapter. then just one more. then i PROMISE just one more.

i also wish i liked to write in my journal like i used to. like i said before, my life is so repetitive that i feel there is no point in writing everyday because it would be the same thing over and over again.

i would love to be a photographer. but not like the type that every other girl claims to be, i REALLY want to do it and be good at it.

one day, i will achieve my dream body. i want to be strong. not skinny. i like my thick build. i've got a few (more than a few) curves and it makes me feel like a woman, not a lurpy teenage boy

i really want to go to greece. and i will one day

my thoughts today in the shower were this: "what if mankind never progressed? what if we were still living in caves, hunting and gathering?" well, if that were the case, you wouldn't be reading this, that's for sure

i love my job SO MUCH. i couldn't have asked for a better experience. it couldn't have been more positively life changing and perfect even if i'd planned it out myself (God really knows what he's doing up there)

i do love my job, but i'm also ready to be back home. i miss utah (never thought i'd say that). i miss my family and my friends and i miss my boyfriend

i can't decide if i want to do another childcare job when i do get home. cause child care is what i know and i'm good at it but i would like to become a mother in the next few years (after marriage of course) and i sometimes wonder if i maybe need a break from it all. try something new maybe? (if you're reading this and know if any jobs for me starting april 28, you go right ahead and let me know)

people exhaust me. i don't mean that rudely, i just get really exhausted when i'm around a lot of people for a long period of time (see THIS list. this is seriously me to a t. also THIS. #introvertsunite)

it's wedding/ engagement season. and i can't wait for it to be my turn.

i can't get off my civil wars kick. they are literally all i listen to.

 my best friend is getting married in just a few short months
 when i'm skyping with my family my parents hold each other's hands
 the last two weeks have both been harry potter weekends
 i get to directly speak to my Heavenly Father whenever and wherever i want
 i got to experience life out of the utah bubble in the most amazing place possible
 i have the best of friends. i don't know how i made it so long out here without them
 i'm going to mexico in 3 weeks
 even though i don't always like the way i look, people still like me. and that's something i need to realize more often. and so do other people.

 the fact that i move home in 19 weeks
 my hair is the longest it's ever been

i've always been drawn to tim burton movies. like, if i see a preview for a movie, before i even know it's by tim, i want to see it. i've also been told by more than one person that my love for tim burton's movies is creepy, but whatever. i think he's a genius. the nightmare before christmas is probably in my top 5 favorite movies. this is the most random thing ever, but the song i have on repeat is Fiona Apple's cover of Sally's Song from nightmare.

it all started when me and the kids were doing halloween art projects and listening to the halloween pandora station

suddenly, this came on and then it was true love at first listen.

a condensed concert

so i went to the most incredible concert this weekend. get this: walk off the earth, plain white t's, goo goo dolls and onerepublic for... wait for it.... FREE. i was gonna throw a few pics and a short clip but then i couldn't decide which clip cause the whole thing was ahh-mazing so, i've taken a 5 hour concert and condensed it into 6 minutes for your (my) enjoyment. but first, pictures!

work has been CA-RAZY this last week. i've worked tons of overtime and i'm exhausted. good thing i love these kiddies or else it'd be miserable. what helps me get through the week you ask?

going to church. even better today, i 'met' a super cute girl named melissa who just moved out here yesterday to be a nanny (woo hoo for growth for our nanny clan!). i say 'met' because we actually met on fb and have been texting for weeks leading up to her coming out so it was nice to actually meet her in person. she was so cute and nice and i can't wait to go on san francisco adventures with her!

also on sundays involves skyping with my family which is always fun. always.

the civil wars also helps me get through the week, i'm obsessed with them

(and 23 more days till their new album!)

also netflix. i just finished parks and rec *thumbs up*

another thing that gets me through the week is knowing that everyday that passes

is another day closer to seeing bryan.

on a completely unrelated note, i don't think i've ever been so sad about a celebrity death as i was about cory monteith passing. he was so young, and so talented
